Domaine Altugnac
Upper Aude Valley, Languedoc
Our Languedoc estate lies in Antugnac, in the Upper Aude Valley, at the far south-western tip of the Languedoc vineyards. Nestled at the foot of the Pyrenees, in the heart of Cathar country, it is a magical place whose spectacular landscapes immediately won over the Collovray & Terrier families.
THE UPPER AUDE VALLEY
OVERVIEW
In 1997, the Mâconnais winegrowers chose this high-altitude land to rediscover their favourite grape varieties, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, which thrive here at up to 500 metres above sea level. On 110 hectares where Mediterranean and Atlantic influences meet, Altugnac produces fresh, finely chiselled wines under the AOP Limoux and IGP Pays d’Oc appellations. The very name of the estate, adopted in 2020, echoes the village’s historic name in the 14th century.
